Upon asking myslef how Miller had managed to avoid being blacklisted; I discovered that he actually had been! While skimming through various articles, this quote of Miller's caught my attention. "I could not use the name of another person and bring trouble on him." Upon being questioned to reveal other's names, Miller refused; despite the advantage it would have given him, and the trouble he could have evaded (fined and sentenced to prison). Of course Miller had chosen the sentence, but his punishment and the girls' punishments greatly differed. Because of this, we must specualte as to the exact reason why they call out on others-- was it for power, protection, or naivity? news.bbc.co.uk/onthisday/hi/dates/stories/august/7/newsid_2946000/2946420.stm
